Tracy was a fundamental element, when we set up the General Practice nurse course in Salford in partnership with University of Salford in 2019. Such was the success of that course , we were asked to role it out across Greater Manchester.
We have trained nearly 250 new to practice nurses and recently nurse associates who have joined the course, in those years.
Tracy deliveries on the respiratory modules for us and is always happy to adapt to any evaluation changes we look to make, ie. adding on Next Steps course which adds on more detailed knowledge to the nurses, rather than overwhelm them at the start of their journey.
Going forwards we have already booked her for our new Primary Care Integrated Development Programme (PCIDP), which incorporates all disciplines of primary care, so it will not just be nurses benefitting from her knowledge in the future.
This is some of the feedback I have received.
Tracy is amazing very knowledgeable.
Tracey Kirk is an excellent teacher.
Tracy delivers the sessions fabulously, easy to understand and at a great pace. Excellent visual slides.
Tracy is very good at helping me understand asthma in more detail. After the training sessions I had a patient booked in for an asthma review and had the chance to put the knowledge in to practice, thanks!
It was a fantastic training session presentation was very well presented and gave plenty of real life examples to practice
Tracy is professional and delivers her sessions thoroughly so that it is easy to understand.

Tracy has delivered LTC training programme for nurses new to PRIMARYCARE on our bespoke preceptorship programme for over 4 years now and has received fantastic feedback from every group whose first question to me is when can they go on the next Tracy kirk training.
The LTC training that Tracey delivers is so popular with our nurses because its delivered at the right level with real life patient scenarios that are easily translated into real life patient care.
The GPN foundation programme LTC element gives the nurse the foundation on which to build further competencies and the next steps component consolidates their learning ready to take them forward with their lifelong learning journey.
